Our Story
In the summer vacation of 2020, I went to Qinghai with some classmates to participate in an environmental protection volunteer project. In a remote town, I met a little Tibetan boy playing soccer. He was only ten years old, and looked very shy and introverted. His level of soccer is beyond my expectations, the fundamentals are very solid, and besides that he can do some complicated fancy movements. In the process of talking with him, I learned that he has been practicing soccer for more than 4 years, but because there is no soccer partner around, he plays by himself every day, a kick is several hours. There was no soccer field around, so he practiced in the grass every day. His parents are usually too busy to care about him, playing soccer is his biggest hobby.
We played for a long time that night, enjoying it despite the lack of oxygen. Happy times were short-lived. We only stayed one night in the town because of our schedule, and the next day we left early for our next destination, and I never saw the little boy again.
Although we only met once, did not leave a name, did not leave a picture, but I was touched by this little boy. We are lucky to live in a good environment, play soccer with friends in the professional field is not difficult. But in many parts of China, there are also many children who love soccer. They have the same extraordinary passion for soccer as I do and a seed in their hearts to play. But because of many factors, this seed has never been able to germinate. If someone can give these seeds a little bit of sunshine and rain, they may be the future Messi and Ronaldo.
My parents encourage and support me to put this idea into action, to explore my own value and advantages, to observe the world I live in from my own personal perspective, to find communities and fields that need to be served, not only in soccer, but in other aspects as well, and serve others with my enthusiasm and modest efforts, to influence others, to light up others.
